Blimey.
I was woken up this morning by the sound of rain hammering on the roof at the front of the house. Walking in the woods saw me and Barney getting soaked by large, cold, heavy raindrops blowing horizontally in the wind that was approaching gale force.
I checked the traffic news on the RAC website to see what the motorways looked like - it had changed from four reports on the list at seven o'clock to several screenfulls by ten to eight. The travel bulletin on the wireless was reporting an accident southbound on the M1 at Chesterfield that had been cleared to side.
Hmmmm, I was supposed to be in Birmingham today.
I got as far as junction 30 before the heavy spray reduced visibility to less than twenty meters and the traffic started to queue. So I turned around, so I'm a wimp, so sue me ...
