Dust to dust

Well, today has been a little bit more productive.

I had a doctor's appointment this morning, to hand over the letter about my eye and get the operation scar in my groin checked as it has been quite sore and has started bleeding again. The eye looks like it may have some retinal degeneration, so it's a referal to the eye clinic and the scar is not infected but it's probably just a bit of stitch that has been healed over and hasn't disolved properly yet.

The only problem with wooden floors is that the dust and pet hair tends to clump together into little balls that migrate across the room like tumbleweeds in an old western I wheeled the server out from under the desk this morning and set to with a dyson and a duster until the study was finally dust free. While I was busy cleaning, I set the SP2 downloads going on two more laptops and the server as well, and then spent some time backing things up and making sure virus and spyware scanners were up to date.

In the afternoon, Jan went and fetched some new shelves from Argos for Alicia so she now has now excuse for the random scatterings of dictionaries and thesauruses (thesauri?) that were previously to be seen on her floor.

Oh, and further to the blog topic that dare not speak it's name, another text message means that Alicia is staying here for the forseeable future ...
